I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
